What are the best winter tyres for your car? In this article, MICHELIN presents its best winter tyres and, for each of them, the opinions of independent european tyre testers after testing their performance in winter conditions.
The 3PMSF label helps you recognise a good winter tyre
Tyres marked “3PMSF” (3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake) are the only ones to guarantee real winter performance by being specifically designed for snow use and having fulfilled all of the requirements through objective testing*.
This marking is increasingly becoming the norm in Europe for identifying a good winter tyre.
The 3PMSF symbol is easily recognisable: a snowflake surrounded by 3 mountain peaks. In accordance with the regulations, it is always accompanied by the M+S marking on the sidewall of the winter tyre.
Each of the tyres shown below is marked 3PMSF.
