1 External tests realized with TÜV SÜD on Michelin's request, between January and March 2018, comparing MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 5 vs previous generation MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 4, in dimension 225/40 R18 92V XL, on VW Golf VII 2.0 TDI : Lap time and handling lateral tests performed on wet and snow, Aquaplanning tests (curve and longitudinal), Snow braking and snow acceleration tests performed New and at 2 mm tread depth, fuel consumption.2 MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 5 is approved for use in snow conditions (with 3PMSF marking). To receive the 3PMSF marking, tyres must meet a minimum level of safety and mobility performance on snow.3 MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 5 is rated “B” on the majority of dimensions on the wet grip item of the European labelling scale.4 09-2020 ADAC test - MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 5: Test winner out of 13 on 235/55 R17 - Very good in longevity.
