The tyres appear to have superior grip over the previous tyres fitted.

My car now holds the road in a way I didn’t know it could and feels much safer to drive in wet conditions which is important in a rear wheel drive

I need to be able to drive in all weathers so I normally swap between Nokian winter tyres and PS4 sport summer tyres. After reading and watching reviews I decided to try the Cross Climate 3 Sports as they got good reviews. I have now driven on them for a month in temperatures from 17 to 0'C and the performance has been very good so far. They handle a lot like the PS4s in the warmer weather and feel very secure in the freezing temperatures. Very pleased so far. Noise and wet grip are very good. Time will tell how well they wear. Initially they have 6 mm tread depth. The only negative is there seems to be no rim protection, see photos.

I bought these tyres to fit my larger 20 inch alloys on my Jaguar XF, having previously run higher profile tyres on 18 inch wheels. Before fitting the CrossClimate 3 Sports, I drove around 500 miles on the used budget summer tyres that came with the 20s to get a feel for how the bigger alloys changed the ride. Surprisingly, the difference from the 18s was minimal, just riding slightly firmer over bumps. After refurbishing the wheels and fitting the CrossClimate 3 Sports, here’s what I noticed over my first 1,000 miles: Steering & Handling: Within just a few miles the steering felt noticeably sharper. Compared to the old budget tyres, I initially found myself turning in too much and having to ease off mid corner simply because the tyres responded quicker than I was used to. I adapted quickly, and now the car feels much more precise. Comfort: Ride quality is slightly firmer than the previous tyres on these 20 inch alloys, but still perfectly acceptable. I can now feel more of the road’s texture, small undulations, expansion joints, surface variations, coming lightly through the wheel. It’s not harsh it's just more communicative. Performance in Mixed Conditions: I did a 400 mile trip to North Wales covering a mix of A and B roads in changing weather, including wet and dry spells. The tyres performed excellently and consistently throughout. Grip was predictable, and they never felt unsettled or vague. Driver Confidence: On a more subjective level, the tyres give off a sense of quiet competence. There’s a calm, planted feel that improves driver confidence. I always had the sense that the tyres knew what they were doing, and that fed back into how confident I felt pushing on when appropriate.

comfort is better, little noise, and surefooted in very wet and cold conditions. Not had chance in snow yet.
