Michelin claimed a 14th straight victory at Le Mans in 2011, taking its record to 20 wins in total.
Victory for Audi ahead of three Peugeots.

It was the first success at Le Mans for the number 2 Audi crewed by Fassler/Lotterer/Treluyer ahead of the number 9 Peugeot crewed by Lamy / Bourdais / Pagenaud and the number 8 Peugeot of Montagny / Sarrazin / Minassian respectively.

Michelin partners won three of four classes:
- LMP1: Audi-Michelin
- LM GTE Pro: Corvette-Michelin
- LM GTE Am: Corvette (Larbre Competition)-Michelin
The MICHELIN GREEN X Challenge was won by the number 7 Peugeot-Michelin.

After five years away from the sport, MICHELIN returns to its winning ways claiming a 19th world driver title with Sébastien Loeb and a 21st world manufacturer title with Citroën.
Since 2005, the WRC has evolved significantly and, despite the experience of more than 30 years Michelin has built up in the discipline, it was a case of starting from a blank sheet of paper as we set about developing a new range of WRC tires, namely the MICHELIN PILOT SPORT for asphalt, the MICHELIN LATITUDE CROSS for gravel and the MICHELIN X-ICE NORTH for the Swedish Rally.

MICHELIN and PEUGEOT won the second and last edition of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup with five wins from the six rounds, Sebring 12 Hours, Spa 6 Hours, Imola 6 Hours, Silverstone 6 hours and Zhuhai 6 hours. AUDI and MICHELIN won the sixth and the most prestigious race, Le Mans 24 Hours.
In LM GTE Pro, Ferrari and AF Corse with Michelin claim the 2011 ILMC manufacturer and team titles.

The GT1 World Championship was created in 2010 to supersede the former FIA GT series. The new competition was won by Hexis AMR Racing (Aston Martin/MICHELIN). Lucas Luhr and Michael Krumm (Nissan/MICHELIN) claim the driver title.
Although this series permits free competition between tire firms, all the teams elected to race on MICHELIN rubber in 2011.

MICHELIN and the privately-run team MOLA took the Japanese motor racing scene by surprise by securing both the Teams’ and Drivers’ titles in this year’s GT500 series. The GT500 class is the flagship category of the country’s Super GT championship which is one of the world’s most competitive GT race series.
Super GT is probably the sport’s toughest and most fiercely-fought GT race championship and opposes a long list of Japanese carmakers, as well as the world’s major tire manufacturers. Thanks to a score of one outright win (at Sugo) and four second places the N°46 Nissan GT-R/Michelin shared by Masataka Yanagida and Ronnie Quintarelli the 2011 Teams’ and Drivers’ crowns.
